Dear Clark,
It is hard to believe that you are three months old! The last month has gone by so
quickly. You are smiling and
talking all the time. It is so fun
to see you excited and coo over things.
You love being outside. I
take you and Sloane to the park most afternoons so she can run out some of her
nonstop energy. You lay on a
blanket in the shade and stare at the trees. You kick your legs and smile when I talk to you. It is a perfect way to spend our
afternoons before daddy comes home from work.
Daddy and I officially kicked you out of our room right
after you turned two months. You
end up in our bed around 5am most mornings, but there have been a handful of
mornings that you have slept in your crib until 6-6:30am. You go to sleep around 8:30pm and wake
up between 2:30-4am for a quick feeding.
Most nights I can feed you, change your diaper and get you back to sleep
within thirty minutes. You use a
pacifier every once in a while, but prefer to fall asleep cuddling on my chest
like a little koala bear. Before
bed, I always give you a bath, which you absolutely love. The warm water helps you relax before
your final feeding and bedtime.
You are a water baby and do not care if water gets in your eyes when I
wash your head.
It has been very warm lately and we made a trip to the beach
last weekend. You have been the
beach several times in the last three months, but this time daddy put your feed
in the ocean. It did not bother
you at all. You had wet, sandy
feet and were just as happy as ever.
Sloane on the other hand freaks out if we try to get her feet wet. Hopefully you will like the ocean and
can get her to play with you in the waves once you can walk J
You have been growing so much! We took you to a pediatric dermatologist this week about
your birthmark since it has been getting bigger. Nothing to worry about – She gave us some gel that will help
in shrink and it should completely go away by the time you are in grade school. At the appointment, the doctor weighed
you and you are 11 pounds 3 ounces!!!
I cannot believe that you have gained seven pounds in three months! You are much bigger than your sister
when she was three months old. You
are wearing 3-6 months clothes and we are in need of another shopping trip for
you because you are growing out of all the clothes we have.
Tomorrow night is your first sleepover at Mema and G-Pa’s
house. I am so excited to get
sleep but know that I will be thinking about you the entire time you are gone
and want to pick you up as soon as I wake up in the morning. I hope you are good for them and do not
wake up a bunch in the middle of the night.
XOXO,
Love you,
Mommy A bunch of pictures from today:
