Dear Clark,
You are two months old! This one was a whole lot harder than your first month. You “woke up” right around your due
date. All of a sudden you wanted
to be held more, slept less and cry for no reason. Evenings are rough – You are fussy and crying for unknown
reasons. I am hoping this turns
around in the next few weeks as we get more on a regular schedule. You are a great baby during the day. We get up around 6:30 in the morning
(thanks to your big sister who wakes up at the crack of dawn). You nap around 7:30/8am. Eat around 9am, nap around 11am, eat
around noon, nap around 1:30pm, eat around 3pm, nap around 5pm, eat around 6pm,
all hell breaks loose until 8pm when you pass out for the night. We moved you to your crib a few weeks
ago. You sleep in your room until
2:30ish in the morning (thank you for sleeping for six hours!!), then I bring
you into our bed to feed you and cuddle until your sister wakes us up.
Most days we are outside, watching your sister play at the
park or walking to her preschool.
You love to be outside and stare off into space. You make eye contact a little and I am
actually a little nervous that you should be doing it more. We have a doctor’s appointment next
week so I will ask her about it.
You have grown so much in the last month!!! At your six-week check, you weighed 8 pounds 9
ounces!!! You are much bigger than
your sister when she was two months old.
You have little rolls on your thighs and upper arms - it is so
cute! You make little smiles, but
they are usually unintentional rather than on purpose.
You love taking a bath. I will let you soak for 15-20 minutes in your little tub
while Sloane is in the big tub.
You are very happy being naked.
Just like your sister, you love the changing pad. If you are upset in the evening, we put
you on the changing pad and you are instantly happy, even with your clothes on.
You also love laying
tummy-to-tummy. After you eat in
the middle of the night, I burp you, then you just lay on my chest until you
fall back asleep. It is so sweet
having your head rest on my heart.
Love you little dude,
XOXO,
Mommy
